Order or Chaos

Visual Therapy for the Anxious Mind

Overview

What is it?
Order or Chaos places users inside a chaotic VR room, a visual metaphor for an anxious mind. You rate your anxiety (1-10), voice your most distressing thought aloud, and AI transforms it into a symbolic image. Then you choose your response: reject the fear, reshape your perspective, or accept the thought without judgment. Each choice transforms your environment lights brighten, sounds soften, clutter clears visualizing healing in real time.

Core Features:

  • AI-Powered Thought Visualization via HuggingFace speech-to-image generation

  • CBT-Inspired Response System with three therapeutic pathways (Reject, Reshape, Accept)

  • Dynamic Environment Transformation that mirrors emotional shifts in real time

  • Voice-Driven Interaction using speech recognition and Google TTS feedback

  • Exposure Therapy Framework grounded in psychological evidence

Why It Matters:
Proves VR can be a powerful mental health tool, making invisible anxiety visible, giving users agency over their thoughts, and creating a safe space for therapeutic practice.
